Yemen Fighting Kills More Than 300, Displacing Thousands

Fighting has become much worse in part of Yemen.

More than 300 people have been killed, mostly fighters.

Houthi forces attacked a road that connects Taiz with the port city of Mokha.

They also want to move closer to the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, an important shipping route.

The fighting has forced nearly 1,800 families to leave their homes.

Many families are staying in temporary camps and brought livestock and basic belongings with them.

Aid groups say the camps do not have enough food, shelter, or medicine.

The violence is described as the deadliest escalation since a ceasefire broke down.
