Chandrasekaran to step down as Tata Sons Chairman in 2027

Chandrasekaran to step down as Tata Sons Chairman in 2027

A very big Indian company group called Tata is getting a new leader.

The current boss, N. Chandrasekaran, has decided he will stop being Chairman in February 2027.

He made this choice after not agreeing with the people who own most of the company.

Those owners are called the Tata Trusts, and they hold 66 percent of the company.

The two sides disagreed about whether the company should sell shares to the public one day.

They also disagreed about who should sit on the board and how to spend a lot of money.

This has happened before — in 2016, another leader named Cyrus Mistry was removed in a similar conflict.

Tata is very important because it makes steel, cars, and many other things.

It has more than one million workers.

Many people will be watching to see who becomes the next leader and what choices they make.
