NSG Conducts Counter-Terrorism Exercise at Kolkata Airport
Imagine a pretend emergency at the Kolkata Airport to practice what to do if bad guys tried to take over a plane or building.
Special teams like the NSG and police practiced how to save people and stop the bad guys.
They pretended a plane was hijacked with passengers and crew, and then they practiced rescuing them.
At the same time, they acted out a scenario where terrorists attacked an office.
All the different groups worked together to solve the problems, learning how to respond quickly and keep everyone safe.
NSG conducted a counter-hijack and counter-terrorist exercise at Kolkata Airport.
The exercise simulated a hijack of an A320 aircraft with dummy passengers.
Negotiations were attempted, followed by an NSG operation to rescue passengers and eliminate 'hijackers'.
Simultaneously, a counter-terrorist exercise simulated an attack on AAI operational offices.
The exercises involved various agencies and aimed to test response mechanisms.
