Haryana Introduces Rules for Contractual Worker Job Security
Haryana is giving some contractual workers more job security.
If you've worked for five years and been paid for at least 240 days each year, you can become a 'secured employee.'
This means you'll likely have a job until you're 58 and get extra benefits.
The government will create extra jobs for these workers.
Your past regular job service can count too.
They'll get raises and benefits like regular employees, and women get more leave.
There are some rules though - like, if you've remarried while your spouse is alive, you won't be eligible.
Haryana announces new rules to grant 'secured employee' status to contractual workers.
Eligibility requires five years of service and at least 240 days of wages each year by August 15, 2024.
Secured employees will receive job security until age 58 and benefits, including DA and annual increments.
Employees' prior regular service (if any) with the Haryana Staff Selection Commission will be counted.
Supernumerary posts will be created, and employees can be transferred, with some ineligibility criteria.
