Lactation Pods for Nursing Moms at Simhachalam Temple
New moms visiting the Simhachalam temple in Visakhapatnam now have special private rooms to feed their babies.
These rooms, called lactation pods, are clean, comfortable, and quiet.
They have cushioned benches, lights, and fans.
Four of these pods have been set up at different places in the temple area.
They cost Rs 60,000 each to make.
Similar pods were also put in other places like a stadium and a hospital.
The idea came from groups of people who wanted to help new moms feel safe and comfortable while feeding their babies.
Four lactation pods installed at Simhachalam temple for nursing mothers.
Pods equipped with cushioned benches, lights, and fans for comfort.
Each pod costs Rs 60,000 and is part of the 'Ayushman' project.
