Dr. Reddy's Reports Q1 Earnings: Profit Up, Revenue Rise
Dr. Reddy's, a medicine-making company, made a little more money this past quarter than the year before.
Their profit went up by 1%, reaching ₹1,409 crore.
They also sold more stuff, with revenue up 11% to ₹8,545 crore.
This good news is thanks to their popular medicines and a therapy to help people quit smoking.
But, the company expects to make less money selling a medicine called Lenalidomide in the US because of price changes.
The company is working on getting more good medicines ready and improving its business.
Dr. Reddy's Q1 profit increased by 1% to ₹1,409 crore.
Revenue rose 11% to ₹8,545 crore compared to the previous year.
Growth was attributed to branded markets and Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
Pricing pressure is expected for Lenalidomide in the US generics market.
