Sagar Hooch Tragedy Prompts Demolition of Five Illegal Structures

Thirty people reportedly died after drinking spurious liquor in Banda block of Sagar district.

The deaths led authorities to act against alleged illicit liquor traders.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave the administration permission to take strong action.

On Thursday, officials and police demolished five structures.

The buildings were linked to three alleged traders.

Some of the structures were built on government land, including land used as a cremation ground.

Officials said the properties were used to store or sell illegal liquor.

Notices were given before the demolition, but no responses were submitted within the required time.
