Tirumala Mandates FASTag, Considers Electric Vehicle Entry
The temple in Tirumala, where lots of people visit, is making some changes to make things better.
Starting August 15th, all cars entering Tirumala need a FASTag, like a toll pass, to help with traffic.
If you don't have one, you can get one at the entrance.
They also want to make the air cleaner, so they might only allow electric cars in the future and are adding charging stations.
This is to keep things safe and make it easier for everyone who visits the temple.
FASTag will be mandatory for vehicles entering Tirumala from August 15.
Vehicles without FASTag will be allowed to enter Tirumala after obtaining one at Alipiri checkpoint.
The decision aims to improve safety, manage overcrowding, and provide transparent services.
The temple is also considering allowing only electric vehicles in the future.
EV charging stations are being set up, and electric buses are being introduced.
