GeoMap Quiz 2025 Celebrates International GIS Week in India
Imagine a big map game for kids in India called GeoMap Quiz 2025!
It's happening during a special week called International GIS Week, which celebrates how we use maps and special computer tools to understand our planet.
Students in 9th and 10th grade can join teams of two.
First, they'll take a quiz at their schools.
The best teams will then come to Hyderabad for a big final quiz.
The questions will be about how maps help us in real life, like in building things, growing food, or protecting nature.
This game is a fun way to learn how maps help us explore and understand the world around us.
The GeoMap Society (GEMS) is organizing the GeoMap Quiz 2025 for school students across India.
The competition is part of International GIS Week, with the final day on November 19.
Students from Classes 9 and 10 can participate in teams of two.
The quiz will cover spatial awareness and real-world mapping applications, with questions designed by experts.
Preliminary rounds will be held at schools, and the final round will take place in Hyderabad on November 20.
