Mayo Hospital to Offer 5,000 Free Cataract Surgeries
Cataracts are a big problem in India, causing many people to lose their sight.
To help, the government is working to provide free cataract surgeries.
Mayo Hospital is taking part by offering 5,000 free surgeries, with support from WCL.
The goal is to get rid of the backlog of cataract surgeries by 2026, especially for those in need.
This means more people will be able to see clearly again!
The program is focusing on rural areas and helping those who can't afford the treatment themselves.
