Orissa High Court Addresses Misuse of National Emblem
The Orissa High Court is concerned about the misuse of the National Emblem of India.
Someone filed a complaint showing that people were using the emblem in ways that are not allowed.
The court wants to make sure everyone, including regular people and government workers, knows how to use the emblem correctly.
The court appointed two lawyers to help them with this, aiming to stop the misuse and teach people the proper way to use it.
The court will continue to discuss this issue on September 2.
Orissa High Court takes strong exception to misuse of the National Emblem.
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighted rampant misuse of the State Emblem of India.
The State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005, prohibits improper use for professional and commercial purposes.
The Court seeks to spread awareness among citizens and officials regarding proper use of the emblem.
Senior Advocates Manoj Kumar Mishra and Subir Palit appointed as Amicus Curiae to assist the court.
