Monsoon Weakens but Brings Heavy Rain to North-West, Central India
The monsoon in India has weakened, but it has already caused a lot of rain in the North-West and Central parts of the country.
This rain is expected to continue for another week.
The East and North-East parts of India are the driest, with a big shortage of rain.
The India Meteorological Department has warned about very heavy rain in places like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Central India will also get a lot of rain, especially in places like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The West Coast, including Konkan and Goa, will also see a lot of rain.
The South Peninsula and some parts of Maharashtra and Rajasthan might not get much rain during this time.
The low-pressure area that triggered the monsoon’s second revival has weakened but caused heavy rain in North-West and Central India.

Forecast models indicate heavy to very heavy rainfall in North-West and Central India, affecting cities like Bhopal, Indore, and Kota.
