Rajasthan Governor calls for focus on rural infrastructure, livelihoods
The governor of Rajasthan is a very important leader for the state.
He wants villages to become better places to live.
He asked officials to build better roads, water supply, and other things villages need.
He also wants villagers to learn new skills and make handicrafts so they can earn more money.
He checked different government programs that help families build homes and become financially stronger.
He talked about making sure every home has tap water and every village has toilets.
He also mentioned planting trees during the rainy season.
He reminded everyone that planting trees is not enough.
We must water the young trees and take care of them so they grow.
That is how we keep nature healthy.
Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde stressed the need to prioritise effective village development, focusing on rural infrastructure, livelihoods and skill development.
He reviewed the Rural Development Department's work at Lok Bhavan and appreciated progress under schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Lakhpati Didi.
He emphasised promoting handicrafts and skill development in rural areas by ensuring proper training facilities.
Implementation of the Lakhpati Didi scheme, Har Ghar Nal, and efforts to achieve 100 per cent toilet coverage in villages were also reviewed.
Bagde said monsoon plantation drives should focus on the survival of saplings, noting it is important not only to plant trees but to ensure they survive.
