Power Supply Restored in Flood-Hit Areas of Tirupati
Imagine a big water tank near a town overflowed and caused a flood.
This flood made the place that gives electricity to many homes and farms stop working because the water got inside.
But, the electricity company worked really hard, even for three days, to fix it.
They replaced broken poles and machines.
By Saturday, they had fixed enough things to turn the power back on for most people, and by Saturday evening, everyone had electricity again.
They are happy their teams worked so fast to help everyone get their lights and power back.
Power supply has been restored in flood-affected areas surrounding Oluru Rayalacheruvu in Tirupati.
The restoration efforts were led by APSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Siva Sankar Lotheti.
A breach in the Oluru Rayalacheruvu tank submerged the KVB Puram sub-station, causing the outage.
Floodwaters damaged 223 electric poles and 78 transformers, affecting 2,093 services.
Power was fully restored by Saturday, with initial repairs completed Friday night.
