Netflix Series Revisits Pan Am 103 Lockerbie Bombing Horror

Netflix Series Revisits Pan Am 103 Lockerbie Bombing Horror

On December 21, 1988, an airplane called Pan Am Flight 103 was flying from London to New York.

Families, students and people carrying Christmas presents were on board.

High in the sky, about six miles above the ground, a hidden bomb exploded.

The plane broke into pieces that fell all over the Scottish town of Lockerbie.

All 259 people on the plane died, and 11 people on the ground died too — 270 people in total.

Detectives found clues showing the bomb was hidden inside a radio in a suitcase.

One man, Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, was convicted of the crime, but he always said he was innocent and died in 2012.

Now another man is accused of helping build the bomb, and his trial starts in August 2026.

Netflix made a show about this sad story so that people remember what happened.
