Bhopal to Enhance Road Safety, Mandate HSRP for Services
Bhopal is working to make its roads safer by fixing dangerous accident spots.
They're tackling 16 areas after a review by the Supreme Court.
The goal is to improve traffic flow by changing how turns work and redesigning some roundabouts.
Also, to do things online for your vehicle, like changing address or ownership, you now need a special high-security license plate.
This helps ensure vehicles are properly tracked.
The government is pushing these changes to improve safety and make sure vehicle records are correct.
Bhopal is implementing a six-month initiative to rectify 16 accident-prone spots.
The Supreme Court's Road Safety Committee inspected the spots.
Over four years, 121 accidents at these spots led to 27 fatalities.
Improvements include clearing left turns and redesigning rotaries.
