India, UN Launch Capacity-Building Projects
India and the United Nations have started new projects to help countries work together on important goals, like providing enough food and improving health.
India is sharing its knowledge and training programs, using its existing ITEC program to teach people new skills.
These projects cover things like food, health, and job training.
The UN is helping to find the projects and the courses will start in September 2025.
This is part of a larger plan to help countries help each other and make the world a better place.
India and the UN launched the first set of projects under the India-UN Global Capacity Building Initiative.
The initiative aims to support South-South cooperation and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Projects include Rice Fortification in Nepal, Digital Health Platforms in Zambia and Lao PDR, and more.
The projects will utilize India's expertise in technical and economic cooperation, with training via the ITEC program.
Courses are expected to begin in September 2025.
