SBI to Temporarily Suspend UPI Services for Maintenance
SBI, or State Bank of India, is doing some work on its UPI system, which is how you pay people using your phone.
This means that on August 6, 2025, from 1:00 am to 1:20 am, you won't be able to use UPI to send or receive money.
But don't worry!
You can still use UPI Lite, which is like a small digital wallet on your phone, perfect for quick payments.
UPI Lite works even when the main UPI system is down.
You can set up UPI Lite in apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm.
Just add money to it, and you're ready to go!
SBI will temporarily suspend UPI services due to scheduled maintenance.
The downtime is scheduled for August 6, 2025, from 1:00 am to 1:20 am IST.
Customers can continue using UPI Lite during the maintenance period.
UPI Lite allows for small-value transactions without a UPI PIN.
Users can enable UPI Lite through their UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm.
