Election Commissioner Flagged Over Delhi Voter Roll Name Discrepancy
Election officials are checking voter names in Delhi.
They found that Sukhbir Singh Sandhu used a different version of his name on a form.
His form said “Dr S S Sandhu,” while the voter list said “Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.”
Because of this difference, officials marked his record for possible notice.
However, he has not received a notice yet.
Local election officers will check his documents.
They may correct the mismatch after reviewing them.
This is part of a larger review of Delhi’s voter lists.
Election Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sandhu was identified for possible notice during Delhi’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
His enumeration form lists him as “Dr S S Sandhu,” while the voters’ list records “Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.”
Sandhu has been identified for notice, but no notice has yet been served.
Local election officials will review documents to address the name mismatch.
The discrepancy category covers entries that could not be linked or contained logical inconsistencies with the previous electoral roll.
