India to Host Landmark BRICS Sovereign Capital Summit in Delhi
India is preparing a large meeting about investing money across BRICS countries.
More than 500 investors are expected to attend.
Together, they represent about $1 trillion in possible investment.
They will look for useful projects in areas such as energy, technology and infrastructure.
The meeting will take place at The Oberoi in New Delhi.
Some discussions will focus on making payments without relying as much on traditional dollar systems.
Participants may sign an agreement called the Sovereign Capital Compact.
They will also discuss connecting payment networks such as India’s UPI and Brazil’s Pix.
The summit will bring together more than 500 investors and representatives managing about $1 trillion in capital.
It will be held at The Oberoi in New Delhi and connect investors with projects across 21 BRICS member and partner countries.
Discussions will cover infrastructure, energy transition, critical minerals, technology and digital capacity.
A closed-door roundtable will address non-dollar settlement corridors, capital deployment and the proposed Sovereign Capital Compact.
