Transport Body Proposes Flexible Parking Options
The Transport Association had a meeting with the Municipal Commissioner to talk about problems in the Transport Area.
They said the current parking rates are too high and suggested adding a 12-hour parking option besides the 24-hour one.
They also talked about the bad condition of the roads, which need to be fixed.
The association asked for better facilities for truck drivers, like a repaired night shelter and rain shelters.
They want more security with fencing and CCTV cameras.
Other things they asked for include a labour hostel, better drainage, green belts, and more lights.
They also want action against illegal vendors and an unauthorised entry point.
The Municipal Commissioner said he would look into these issues and give directions to solve them.
