Access to Justice Begins With Dialogue: CJI Surya Kant

Access to Justice Begins With Dialogue: CJI Surya Kant

The Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, went to a big meeting about fairness and the law.

He said that getting justice starts with talking and listening to people.

He said the law should give answers that fit each person's exact problem.

He also said everyone's problems should be heard in their own language.

That way, people can understand what is happening in their case.

He asked volunteers who help with legal problems to treat victims with kindness and respect.

The leader of the state of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, also spoke at the meeting.

He said the court system is becoming modern with computers and technology.

People can now file court papers online and join hearings from far away.

New laws are also replacing very old rules from colonial times.
