Dhubri College Girls' Hostel Project Remains Unfinished After Years
Imagine a plan to build a safe place for girls to live while they study at college.
The government said it was a good idea and approved the plan years ago.
They even set aside money for it!
But, even today, the building hasn't started.
This means students, especially those who don't have much money, have to pay a lot to live somewhere else.
This is causing problems for many students, and some people in the community are upset about this.
They want someone to figure out why the project isn't done.
A girls' hostel project at PGTT College in Dhubri, approved eight years ago, remains unfinished.
The project, sanctioned under the MSDP, aimed to provide affordable accommodation for female students.
Despite government approvals, including an NOC and NDC, construction hasn't begun.
The project, with a budget of Rs. 75 lakh, was approved by the DLC in 2016.
Students face challenges due to lack of affordable accommodation; community calls for inquiry.
