EPFO Launches One-Time Enrolment Scheme for Employers
The EPFO has started a special program called EES-2025 to help employers sign up their workers who were not previously covered by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
This program runs for six months and allows employers to fix past mistakes by paying a small penalty and some extra charges.
The goal is to make sure more workers in India have a secure retirement plan.
The EPFO is also sending reminders and running a campaign to tell employers about this program.
By joining, employers can avoid bigger penalties and help their workers save for the future.
The scheme also includes benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, subject to its terms and conditions.
EPFO introduces EES-2025 to help employers enrol previously unenrolled employees.
Scheme covers employees not enrolled between July 1, 2017, and October 31, 2025.
Employers must deposit their share of contributions, interest, administrative charges, and a fixed penalty of Rs 100.
Establishments facing assessment inquiries can also participate in the scheme.
Nationwide awareness campaign and reminders are being sent to defaulting employers.
