Shapiro-Carlson Clash Overshadows TPUSA's AmericaFest
At a big meeting called AmericaFest, which was supposed to be about remembering Charlie Kirk and uniting conservatives, there was a big fight between two famous commentators, Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson.
Shapiro accused some conservatives of spreading false information and not being honest.
Carlson made fun of Shapiro's comments and said that the conservative movement was acting strangely.
They also argued about whether the US should support Israel in the same way it always has.
Additionally, Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk's widow, had a funny moment on stage when she accidentally used the wrong word, which people on the internet talked about.
Rapper Nicki Minaj also appeared at the event and praised US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, saying they are good role models.
This fight and the funny moment made the event more about their disagreements and the internet than about remembering Charlie Kirk.
It showed that there are big differences in the conservative movement, especially between older, traditional conservatives and newer, more skeptical ones.
This could affect future elections and the US's foreign policy.
Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson publicly clashed at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest, revealing deep ideological rifts in the conservative movement.
Shapiro accused certain conservatives of spreading baseless theories and dishonesty, specifically calling out Candace Owens.
Carlson responded by mocking Shapiro's remarks and defending free speech, dismissing calls to denounce fellow conservatives.
The event was meant to memorialize Charlie Kirk and unite conservatives but was overshadowed by infighting and personal attacks.
Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance, praising Donald Trump and JD Vance, and had a verbal slip while interviewing Erika Kirk, which sparked laughter on social media.
