No Direct Link Proven Between Deaths and Air Pollution: Health Ministry
The Ministry of Health in India has said that there is no clear proof that shows deaths are only caused by air pollution.
They give advice to states and union territories on how to lessen the effects of air pollution.
The ministry also works with states to organize campaigns to make people more aware of air pollution on special days like World Environment Day, International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, and National Pollution Control Day.
These campaigns happen every year and aim to educate the public about the importance of clean air and how to protect themselves from pollution.
The Ministry of Health (MOS Health) states there is no conclusive data linking deaths exclusively to air pollution.
Public health advisories are issued to states and union territories to reduce the impact of air pollution.
Annual public awareness campaigns are organized in coordination with states for World Environment Day, International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, and National Pollution Control Day.
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5, International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on September 7, and National Pollution Control Day on December 2.
The campaigns aim to educate the public about the importance of clean air and how to protect themselves from pollution.
