Mumbai to Get Tourism Security Force at Key Locations
Maharashtra is creating a special security team to keep tourists safe and manage crowds at the Gateway of India and Nariman Point in Mumbai.
This idea comes from a similar team that has worked well in Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani.
The new team will include ex-servicemen and will receive training.
They will help control crowds, keep traffic moving, and resolve any issues.
The government will provide cars and motorcycles for the team to use.
Maharashtra will deploy a tourism security force at Gateway of India and Nariman Point.
The initiative aims to improve visitor safety and manage crowds at popular tourist spots.
The force will replicate the successful model used in Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani.
Personnel will come from the Maharashtra State Ex-Servicemen Welfare Board.
MTDC will procure vehicles to support the force's mobility.
