Instagram Adds Support for 3:4 Photo Aspect Ratio
Instagram is updating how it shows your pictures!
Before, you had to make your photos square or a certain rectangle shape.
Now, you can upload pictures that are tall, like the ones you take with your phone, without cutting off parts of them.
This is a big change because most phone cameras take pictures in this tall shape.
It works for both single pictures and when you put multiple pictures together.
This makes it easier and better for people to share their photos.
Instagram now supports the 3:4 aspect ratio for photos.
This allows users to upload images without cropping.
Previously, Instagram supported 4:5 and 1:1 (square) aspect ratios.
The update is available for both single-image posts and carousels.
The announcement was made by Instagram head Adam Mosseri.
