China's Soybean Oil Exports to India Surge
China is sending a lot more soybean oil to India because people in China aren't using as much of it.
China makes a lot of soybean oil, but not as many people are eating out, so there's extra oil.
This extra oil is being sent to India, which is the biggest importer of soybean oil in the world.
The oil from China is cheaper and gets to India faster than oil from South America.
This is good for India because they need a lot of soybean oil and can get it more quickly and at a better price.
China's soybean oil exports to India surged to a record 70,877 tons in October 2025.
Exports in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 329,000 tons, nearly triple the total for 2024.
Weak domestic demand in China and robust soybean imports from South America and the US are driving the surge.
