Railways Seeks 13 Acres of RTC Land for Kacheguda Redevelopment
Indian Railways wants to buy about 13 acres of land from the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation in front of Kacheguda railway station in Hyderabad.
The plan is to swap this land for about the same amount of railway land at other nearby sites.
The old Kacheguda station is a very old building built in 1916, and there isn’t enough empty space to make it bigger.
The railway company hopes to turn the station into a modern, world‑class terminal.
The proposal is still being discussed and no final decision has been made yet.

TGSRTC managing director is considering the proposal and a land‑swap arrangement is under discussion.
