Naidu Rejects DSC Scam Claims, Warns Against Attacks on Teachers
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu defended teachers hired through a large teacher recruitment process.
He said the process was honest and that there were no leaked exam papers or corruption.
Some opposition leaders say there may have been problems with appointments made under the sports quota.
They also questioned whether some sports certificates were genuine.
Naidu said those certificates had been issued during sports events, including events held under the previous government.
Teachers protested because they said they earned their jobs through study and hard work.
A protest in Vijayawada became tense when opposition supporters and sports-quota teachers gathered at the same place.
The opposition wants an independent CBI investigation, while Naidu says disagreements should be handled through courts or the Assembly, not attacks.

Naidu rejected allegations that sports-quota certificates were fake, saying certificates had been issued during sports events under the previous government.
He described the recruitment as transparent, denied corruption and question-paper leaks, and said around 350 to 355 petitions challenged the appointments.
