Air India Launches Shopping Rewards for Maharaja Club Members
Air India is letting its frequent flyer club members, called Maharaja Club, earn points while shopping at stores like Walmart and GAP in the USA and UK.
They've teamed up with a company called Loyyal to make this happen.
When you spend money at these stores, you get Maharaja Points, which you can then use for free flights or to upgrade your seat.
The number of points you get depends on where you shop; for example, you get more points for spending at Victoria's Secret than at New Balance.
This is a new way for members to collect points without always having to fly.
Air India partners with Loyyal to expand Maharaja Club earning opportunities.
Members can earn points by shopping at select retailers in the USA and UK.
Retail partners include Walmart, Victoria's Secret, GAP, and more.
Earning rates vary depending on the brand.
Points earned can be redeemed for flights or cabin upgrades.
