Nellore District Works to Implement Farmer Support Scheme
The government in Nellore is helping farmers sign up for a program called Annadatha Sukhibhava.
Farmers need to give details through a system called EKYS to get help.
Out of the farmers who signed up, some have finished the EKYS process, but many haven't, causing some confusion.
Because of this, officials are working to make sure all eligible farmers can participate.
They are holding meetings and special events to help farmers who had trouble.
Nellore district is working to implement the Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme (ASS).
Farmers must enroll in Electronic Know Your Customer (EKYS) to receive benefits.
Out of 3.19 lakh enrolled farmers, 1.77 lakh have completed EKYS.
1.42 lakh farmers were initially deemed ineligible, causing farmer confusion.
