Telangana High Court Hears Appeals on Group-I Results and Delimitation
The Telangana High Court heard two important cases on Monday.
First, they listened to appeals about the Group-I job results that were put on hold.
The TGPSC and successful candidates argued that the exam process was fair.
Second, the court heard about 80 petitions against the way wards in the GHMC are being redrawn.
The court said they couldn't interfere because the process was already completed and sent to the government.
The Advocate-General argued that the court shouldn't get involved in electoral matters, while the petitioners' lawyers said citizens should have a way to question unfair actions.
The court kept the petitions pending for further consideration.
The Telangana High Court heard appeals against the stay on Group-I recruitment results, with TGPSC and candidates arguing the process was fair.
The court was not inclined to intervene in the delimitation of GHMC wards, citing completed processes and constitutional provisions.
Advocate-General A. Sudershan Reddy argued against court intervention in electoral matters, while petitioners' lawyers advocated for judicial review.
The court kept the delimitation petitions pending for further consideration.
The GHMC had considered 5,935 objections in the delimitation process.
