MASSH Hospital Introduces Robotic Knee Surgery in Ludhiana
MASSH PROLIFE Hospital in Ludhiana has started using a new robot called ROSA to help with knee replacement surgeries.
This robot helps doctors do the surgery more precisely, which means smaller cuts, less blood loss, and a faster recovery for patients.
The hospital is the first in Ludhiana to use this technology.

MASSH PROLIFE Hospital in Ludhiana launched the ZIMMER ROSA Robotic System for knee replacement surgery, making it the first hospital in the city to offer this technology.
The system was inaugurated on January 7, 2024, by Dr. S. C. Ahuja, former Principal and Head of Orthopaedics at DMC.
The ROSA system uses sensors and 3D modeling to plan surgeries and assist in placing implants with extreme precision, leading to better alignment, smaller incisions, less blood loss, and faster recovery.
