Samvardhana Motherson Acquires Autoelectric for €207M
Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd, a big company that makes car parts, has decided to buy Autoelectric, a company that makes wiring for cars.
The deal is worth €207 million, and it will help Samvardhana Motherson make more kinds of car wiring.
Autoelectric is a 60-year-old company that makes wiring for both regular and big cars.
It has 22 factories in 11 countries and over 13,000 workers.
Samvardhana Motherson is also buying more parts of other companies in Turkey and Japan this year.
They plan to finish this big purchase by the first part of 2027.
The chairman of Samvardhana Motherson says this will help them support their customers better and grow more.
Samvardhana Motherson approved the acquisition of Autoelectric's automotive wiring harness business for €207 million.
The deal includes select real estate assets and shares in Autoelectric's overseas subsidiaries.
Autoelectric reported €749 million in revenue for 2024 and has capabilities in low- and high-voltage applications.
The transaction is expected to close by the first quarter of FY27.
Samvardhana Motherson has also completed other acquisitions in 2025, including full ownership of two Turkish subsidiaries and stakes in Japanese companies Yutaka Giken and Shinnichi Kogyo.
