Trump Calls Iran Nuclear Weapons Question ‘Stupid’ During Exchange
A reporter named Libby Dean asked President Donald Trump if he had ruled out using a nuclear weapon against Iran.
Trump said yes, but he also said he would never normally discuss that kind of decision.
He then called the question stupid and said Iran had been defeated militarily.
The United States and Iran were still exchanging attacks.
Iran also continued controlling the Strait of Hormuz, according to the article.
Trump said the main goal was stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

This created a disagreement between Trump’s public statement and claims about what officials had considered privately.
NewsNation correspondent Libby Dean asked Trump whether he had ruled out using a nuclear weapon against Iran.

Trump said preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon was the central objective of the conflict.
Former administration official Joe Kent said nuclear weapons had been discussed in strategy meetings, contradicting Trump’s public dismissal of the possibility.
