Yasin Malik Claims Role in Kashmir Peace Talks with Six Governments
Yasin Malik, a jailed Kashmiri separatist, says he was secretly working with six different Indian governments since 1990 to help solve the Kashmir problem.
He claims he met with important people like Hafiz Saeed and RSS leaders at the government's request.
Malik says he was tasked to foster peace through talks, and even met with the NSA and Prime Minister.
He's currently in jail and facing a case where the government is seeking the death penalty.
His statements are part of his defense against charges.
Yasin Malik claims engagement with six consecutive Indian governments starting in 1990 to resolve Kashmir issue.
Malik states he met Hafiz Saeed and other militants in 2006 at the request of then IB Special Director V.K. Joshi.
