Trump Media Files for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF, Expanding Digital Asset Footprint
Trump's company, Trump Media & Technology Group, is trying to launch a new investment fund called an ETF.
This fund would invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, two types of digital money.
If the government approves, the company will use a platform called Crypto.com to hold and manage the digital money.
The company also raised a lot of money recently from investors to help them buy Bitcoin and make their company grow.
Another company called Rumble, which is popular with the same people, will talk about how digital money and free speech are connected at a big conference.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) filed for a Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF with the SEC.
The ETF, if approved, would allocate 75% to Bitcoin and 25% to Ethereum.
Crypto.com is designated as the custodian and execution agent for the ETF.
TMTG recently raised approximately $2.44 billion through a private placement to support the Bitcoin treasury and growth.
Rumble will participate in the Bitcoin 2025 conference, discussing free speech and crypto integration.
