Dr Reddy’s Licenses Immutep’s Cancer Drug
Dr Reddy’s, a big medicine company, has made a special deal with Immutep, a company from Australia.
They will work together to sell a new cancer medicine called eftilagimod alfa.
Dr Reddy’s will pay Immutep $20 million right away and possibly more money later if the medicine does well.
The medicine helps the body fight a type of lung cancer.
Dr Reddy’s will sell it everywhere except a few places like North America and Europe.
This is part of Dr Reddy’s plan to sell more types of medicines, not just the cheaper ones they usually sell.
Dr Reddy’s signs exclusive licensing deal with Immutep for cancer drug eftilagimod alfa.
Immutep to receive $20 million upfront and potential milestone payments up to $349.5 million.
Dr Reddy’s to distribute the drug globally, excluding North America, Europe, Japan, and Greater China.
Eftilagimod alfa is an immunotherapy targeting non-small cell lung cancer.
Deal reflects Dr Reddy’s strategy to diversify beyond generics amid pricing pressures in North America.
