Telangana High Court Orders Eviction from Nizam-Era Cow Shelter
The Telangana High Court has ordered the removal of people who are living on land where a cow shelter and veterinary hospital have been for over 100 years.
The court gave two weeks for the eviction to happen.
The authorities have been told to protect the place and report back to the court.
This order came after a group that cares about animals filed a petition in 2007.

The court granted two weeks for the eviction to be completed by January 30.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Endowments Department were directed to protect the premises and report compliance.
Justice Suddala Chalapathi Rao passed the order while dealing with a 2007 petition by the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
Authorities were advised to seek police protection for executing the order.
