Indian Father and Daughter Found Dead After Nepal Trek
An Indian father and his teenage daughter went on a vacation to Nepal to go trekking.
They set out to visit a monastery on October 20th but disappeared.
Weeks later, on November 9th, rescue teams found their bodies buried in the snow.
A big snowstorm had hit the area, making it hard for trekkers.
They were reported missing by their hotel, and the police worked hard to find them.
It's a sad end to their trip.
The bodies of Indian father Jignesh Kumar Lallubhai Patel (52) and his 17-year-old daughter Priyansa Kumari Patel were found in Nepal.
They had been missing since October 20 after setting out to visit Maleripa Monastery in the Manang district.
Their bodies were recovered on November 9, buried in snow about 100 meters above the monastery.
A severe snowstorm in October caused widespread disruption, leading to the rescue of over 1,500 stranded tourists in the Manang district alone.
The hotel where they stayed alerted the Armed Police Force (APF) after losing contact, initiating a search operation.
