Nashik Police Expand Mobile Patrol Vans Across Public Hotspots
Nashik Police use special vans to help keep public places safe.
The vans are called ‘One Mobile’ or ‘Mobile-1.’
There are currently nine vans working in two shifts all day and night.
They stop at 108 planned locations.
Police are now sending them to more places, including schools, markets and areas that may be busy at night.
Citizens suggested many of these places online.
Each van has police officers and equipment such as cameras, lights and medical supplies.
People can suggest more locations to the police through WhatsApp or comments.
Nashik City Police are expanding the ‘One Mobile’ patrol vans to schools, colleges, markets, residential areas, night hotspots and ghat areas.
Nine vans currently operate around the clock in two shifts and visit 108 predetermined locations.
The expansion follows suggestions submitted online by citizens, particularly young people.
Each van carries five police personnel and equipment including 360-degree cameras, floodlights, binoculars, radios and first-aid kits.
Police say the vans will support rapid responses and could help monitor crowds during the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
