Why VVS Laxman Attended BCCI's India-New Zealand Selection Meeting

The BCCI met in Guwahati to choose India's teams for a tour of New Zealand.

VVS Laxman, who leads the BCCI Centre of Excellence, was also at the meeting.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia explained why he was there.

Laxman is expected to attend future senior selection meetings too.

The plan was made at a review meeting in Mumbai.

The aim is to help the selectors and the Centre of Excellence communicate clearly.

Ajit Agarkar, the outgoing chief selector, was not at the Guwahati meeting.

Pragyan Ojha chaired it for the time being.
