TN to Install ANPR, Speed Cameras at RTO Check Posts
Tamil Nadu is putting up special cameras at 22 check posts to help with traffic and stop bad things like bribes.
These cameras will read car numbers and check if drivers are following the rules.
They will also watch for people driving too fast.
This will make it easier for trucks and tourist cars to pay taxes online and go through without stopping.
The cameras will be connected to a big computer system that will watch everything in real-time.

Speed-detection cameras will be deployed at nine key locations to monitor vehicle speeds.

The ANPR and speed detection systems will be integrated with the Central Monitoring System at the State Transport Authority.
The system will generate automatic challans for various traffic violations and verify road tax payments.
