Karnataka Police Aspirants Walk Out Over Test Irregularities
In Karnataka, a big police recruitment test was held for almost 4,000 constable jobs.
Over 450,000 people took the written exam at 884 different centers.
At one college in Tikota, many candidates left the exam because they said the codes on the paper and the answer sheets didn’t match.
The exam supervisors tried to let some of them back in, but many were not allowed to return with their answer sheets.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority said the walkout happened because of these alleged irregularities in how the test materials were distributed.
3,991 civil police constable posts were up for grabs in Karnataka's recruitment drive.
Over 454,532 candidates took the written exam at 884 centers under CCTV surveillance.
Candidates at Sri Sharadamba PU College in Tikota walked out after claiming question paper and OMR codes did not match.
