Rahul Gandhi Alleges 'Election Theft' in India Amid Bihar Voter Roll Controversy
Rahul Gandhi, a leader in the opposition, says that some people are trying to cheat in elections in India.
He mentioned that the Congress party found evidence of this in Karnataka, where they looked closely at voter lists.
He also brought up concerns about a voter list review in Bihar called SIR, which is supposed to make sure voter lists are accurate.
Meanwhile, another politician, Chirag Paswan, criticized the opposition for complaining about the voter list review after they raised concerns about election problems in the past.
The opposition is protesting the SIR exercise, saying they found that some votes of SC, ST, OBC and minority groups are being removed.
They believe the review might be unfair.
Rahul Gandhi alleged elections are being stolen in India, citing an investigation in Karnataka.
Gandhi claims the Congress has uncovered large-scale electoral fraud through digital analysis of voter lists.
The allegations come amid controversy over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
Opposition parties, including the Congress, protested in Parliament, demanding discussion on the SIR exercise.
Chirag Paswan criticized the opposition for criticizing the SIR process after previously raising concerns about voter list discrepancies.
