BJP Recasts Leadership to Hear Gen Z’s Message

BJP Recasts Leadership to Hear Gen Z’s Message

India’s BJP political party has changed many of its important organizational positions.

The changes came after protests led by members of Generation Z, or Gen Z. The party has added many younger people but has also kept experienced leaders.

Some leaders who had been less involved, including Vasundhara Raje, Ram Madhav and Smriti Irani, are returning to important roles.

Amit Malviya, who led the party’s IT cell, has been replaced by Deepak Mhaskey.

The party is also bringing in more people who work with social media and digital communication.

Hemang Joshi, who is 35, will lead the party’s youth wing.

The important question is whether these younger leaders can create new ideas or will have to follow the party’s old political messages.
