India Fined for Slow Over-Rate in ODI

India Fined for Slow Over-Rate in ODI

India's cricket team was fined 10% of their match fee because they were too slow in bowling their overs during the second ODI against South Africa.

This happened in Raipur.

India lost that match, but they had already won the series by winning the first match in Visakhapatnam.

The referee, Richie Richardson, gave the fine because India was two overs short of the target time.

The team's captain, KL Rahul, admitted they were wrong, so there was no need for a big hearing.

The umpires who were there also agreed with the fine.

South Africa set a new record by scoring the highest number of runs to win against India in an ODI.
