Ukraine Seeks Security Guarantees in US Talks
Ukraine is sending a team to the United States to talk about making Ukraine safe and helping it rebuild after the war.
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said they have finished their part of the work on these plans.
He hopes they can sign these plans at a big meeting in Davos next week.
The U.S. president, Donald Trump, said Russia is ready for peace, but Zelenskyy thinks Russia is not really interested in peace.
Zelenskyy said Russia is still attacking Ukraine's energy systems, which shows they want to keep destroying Ukraine.
The U.S. and Europe want to make sure Ukraine is safe in the future, but they have different ideas about how to do this.
A Ukrainian delegation is heading to the U.S. to discuss security guarantees and a post-war recovery package.
Zelenskyy hopes the documents could be signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos next week.
Ukraine has completed its part of the work on the documents outlining a 'prosperity package' and U.S. security guarantees.
